Today was the annual Eyes for the Pies fall roller-ski race. It was a great event. Despite the rain on Saturday, it managed to clear up with blue skies just in time for the race on Sunday. The roads had a few wet leaves here and there which made things slick, but other than that the temperature and weather were perfect. We were lucky to have Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin join us this year, and we had our best turn out ever-- over 50 racers! We also had a lot of great volunteers- thank you everyone who helped out or organized!- and lots of delicious pies! There were all ages and abilities, from masters to college to middle school skiers. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and will return next year, and bring more skiers! Results http://www.nensa.net/docs/2009/2009-Eyes-on-Pies-Results.pdf. Pictures FlyingPointRoad.com. Thanks everybody who helped make this event happen, and we hope to have you back next fall!
