Last week 3 SMBC athletes, Chester, Jack, and Tara went to biathlon train in Jericho, Vermont for the week. Seth, a MWSC coach, took them, along with two county athletes, and coached them for the week. It was lots of training; shooting and skiing combos every day. The roller skiing there was tough, but a lot of fun. It was also really cool to be training and living at the same place as many high caliber athletes, some who have been to the olympics before. Saturday and Sunday were the races, a sprint and a pursuit. Our SMBC athletes represented So. Maine very well and did a great job. Aside from the horrendous food, it was a wonderful week of training and learning. Thanks Seth and Gary!
