Class C high schools all headed up to Fort Kent for State Championships this week. The nordies were all introduced to biathlon by MWSC athletes and coaches. Many parents and skiers said that everyone had a blast! Great promotion of the sport!
Congratulations to club members Zoe and Emelie Chace Donahue for first and 6th place finishes in classical and Juan placing 18th, and in class B for classic Tom Sullivan and Jackson Hall placing in the top 15, and Chester in 22nd. Caitlin Crawford came in 15th in the classic. Sam Humphries placed 3rd for class A and Ashton Cushman in 39.
For skating SMBC athletes had some more strong results. Zoe and Emelie came out with a second and fourth, Class B ripped it up in Rangely with a 10th from Tom Sullivan, Chester Jacobs in 15th, Jackson Hall in 23, Caitlin Crawford placed 12th. Sam Humphries came 3rd and Ashton came 38. NICE JOB and way to represent the Southern Maine Biathlon Club!!!!!!
And our middle school skiers were also right there at the top.
SKATE RACE- Katrina Laukli in 15th, Ian Moore, Kellan Humphries, Carter Hall, and Sam Prattico CLEANED UP with 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th place!! Braden Becker, Sammy Jones, Eli McCurdy, John Burgess, and Tim Adams were all in top 30.
CLASSIC RACE- Katrina come in 12th, Ian 1, Kellan 2, John 3, Carter 4, Elijah 5, Sammy 10, Even Laukli 12, Sam Prattico 17, Braden 20, Tim 23. Stellar job!!!
Be crossing your fingers for snow. What is all this green stuff? YUCK.
